Two hundred Lamborghinis took to the roads of Southern California on a mission to raise awareness and funding for changing the approach on men's health.
Lamborghini owners of all ages started the road trip at the Santa Monica Pier, driving 32 miles (51 kilometers) through the Malibu canyons. Their final destination was Calamitous Ranch in Malibu, in the heart of the Santa Monica Mountains. Each of the participating Lamborghinis received the charity's signature mustache symbol on the hood.

The run is actually a charity action, known by the name of Movember. This fall, it was led by Lamborghini Chairman and CEO Stephan Winkelman himself, in the company of Andrea Baldi, Chief Executive Officer Americas. The event in the United States is one of the many taking place worldwide during November.

The money raised with the Bull Run will be steered toward the charity's mission of bringing awareness to important issues regarding men's physical and mental health.

It will also be invested in funding projects of research and treatment. So far, Movember has invested almost $350 million in over 600 biomedical research projects focusing on prostate and testicular cancer.

Furthermore, others can make donations through Lamborghini's fundraising page through November 30.

The United States is Lamborghini's main market

The Bull Run in Southern California saw the most Lamborghinis ever come together in the history of the region. That does not come as a surprise since California is the leading market for Lamborghini in the US, with the US being the leading market for the Italian marque worldwide. The state accounts for 25% of the total sales, followed by Florida with 19%, as per figures provided by the brand.

On July 18, Automobili Lamborghini opened the gates of a new showroom in Southern California, Lamborghini Newport Beach. The brand's first V12 hybrid plug-in model, the Revuelto, was the star of the grand opening event. Earlier in 2023, Lamborghini Westlake opened its gates.

Back in October, a new showroom in Seattle started operations.

The Italians continue to strengthen their presence in the States, with record sales figures every single year since 2011, except for 2020, when the pandemic hit every industry out there.

Back in 2010, Lamborghini only sold 290 cars. Sales more than doubled five years later, reaching 756 units sold. In 2022, the Sant’Agata Bolognese-based brand delivered 3,482 cars in the United States.

In 2023, global figures skyrocketed in the first six months but dropped in the US. The American market is still, in the lead with 1,625 cars delivered from January to the end of June. The United Kingdom is up next with 514 cars, while Germany is in the third position with 511 cars. The Italians are expecting a boost in sales as they kicked off delivery of the all-terrain Huracan Sterrato in July.
