Reinventing the Maserati brand with three new models cost money. Reinventing the Ferrari Enzo as a hybrid costs money. Shifting Fiat production around to make the company more profitable cost money. Designing the Lancia Thema... not so much, as very little is different from the Chrysler 300.
In the future, the design language for the Lancia brand will be the same as that for the Chrysler. This
cooperation is sure to save money, but it’s not yet clear if the Thema or the Flavia (Chrysler 200) are going to sell in Europe.

However, Fiat Group might have already moved forward with a brand new product, the Thema coupe, which is rumored to arrive based on the Chrysler 300 architecture.

The car has already been rendered by Theophilus Chin, so we can get an idea of what it would be like to transition the 300 from a four-door to a two-door. It looks interesting, but if we were Fiat we’d wait until the Thema makes a name for itself as a sedan.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
