You might be doing okay, financially speaking, but probably not as good as the guy who's towing the ultimate Lambo V10 supercar using his Lambo SUV.
That's right; we're talking about one of the first sightings of the Urus doing real SUV things. Because let's face it, the SUV wasn't invented to surf dunes or shop at the Emirates mall; it was made for towing boasts and stuff like that.
The Huracan Performante Spyder is not a boat, but it is a leisurely activity with wheels. Why get sunburn waiting for fish to bite when you can get it cruising for chicks in Monaco?
We quickly want to point out that while completely different, these two Lambos are both brand new, with the Spyder version of the Performante being delivered since late spring. It's got the most powerful version of the naturally aspirated V10, as well as the now famous ALA active aero system.
The engine used by the Urus was cause for speculation for many years. Lamborghini chose a 4.0-liter twin-turbo matched an 8-speed auto, much like the upcoming Audi RS Q8. However, it's been tuned to 650 metric horsepower, 10 more than the 5.2-liter Huracan unit. Being turbocharged, it has a lot more torque as well, which comes in useful when towing about 2 tons (ballpark figure).
While we can't find the Urus' towing capacity listed anywhere, you can order it with an electrically-powered hitch. The Advanced Driver Assistance System or ADAS lists a top view camera along with a trailer coupling mode. Sister cars like the VW Touareg have a feature where trailers are maneuvered almost automatically.
Interestingly, this photo of a Huracan being pulled by the Urus isn't a unique occurrence. Four years ago, we showed you a rendering of the same thing. It will also remind everybody of the classic LM002 pulling the iconic Countach.
