Ever since Audi took over the reins at Lamborghini, things have gone from good, to awesome to "oh my God, I can't believe it". The main champion in Sant'Agata Bolognese is not the V12 Aventador, but the more humble Gallardo. It made owning a supercar more affordable and practical, and for that it's been rewarded with lots of sales. So many, in fact, that about half the Lambos ever made are Gallardos.
But as the last one rolled off the assembly line in Italy last month, everybody has been wondering about the car that will take its place. Speculation is rampant, but we think we found some new details.
A special board on the teamspeed.com forum states that the new V10, called the Cabrera, will have its motor show debut at the Geneva Motor Show, which is in March 2014. However, details could be released just before this Christmas.
If you guys remember the Aventador launch, a few months before its launch, Lamborghini announced the ground-breaking 6.5-liter engine, pushrod suspension and lightweight and quick gearbox. The Cabrera should get the same treatment.
