Lada Gets Destroyed in an Instant on Russian Highway

This video illustrates the danger of having cars of varying body strengths on the road at the same time. The Lada, a car with 1960s technology (not the best trait of the period) gets hit violently nearly head on, by an out-of-control car, which was towing something behind.
The blue car is definitely a newer model, though we don’t exactly know what it is, and it turns the Lada’s front end into scrap instantly. The main reason is that the newer car is much more rigid in its construction and therefor, much stronger in an impact such as this.

The answer would be to start fitting rally-spec roll cages to older cars, to compensate for weak pillars and absolutely no regard to passenger safety. Thankfully, safety is one of the few area in which cars have genuinely improved over the years, and this video clearly illustrates by how much.
