Koenigsegg is nothing if not a visionary innovator. Their Swedish designs don't have the visual punch of a Lamborghini or the "handcrafted from the finest leather" appeal of a Bugatti, but they are really special.
The ultimate car built by them is called the One:1, so called because of its equal balance of weight and power. Its power comes from the usual 5.0-liter aluminum engine, but it's been tuned to make 1,341 horsepower and 1,371 Nm of torque (1,011 lb-ft).

This short new video we got from GT Board shows how that mighty mill projects its presence into the world, through a single skillfully crafted pipe clearly displaying its "One:1" identity at the top. It's one of the innovations developed specifically for this car, a 3D printed titanium exhaust end piece that saves 400 grams compared to aluminum ones.

We're likely soon going to see this car being drag raced against others like it and much is expected from the Bugatti killer. Koenigsegg says top speed has not been a priority, as the One:1 is a track focused car. However, they still think it could be the world’s fastest homologated production car, reaching somewhere around 440 km/h (273.4 mph) in computer simulations.

Enjoy the sound of Swedish power!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
