Kitschy GR Supra Looks Like It Came From AutoZone Sale, License Plate Reveals Its Origins

Only a few body kits look good on the Toyota GR Supra, and DarwinPro Aero's is certainly not on the list. You do remember this tuning company, don't you? Of course, you do. After all, they sometimes make Mansory's projects look sensible.
Shared on social media recently by the tuner that gave the car world that hideous Audi RS 6 Avant two months ago, the images reveal an OTT take on the otherwise good sports car. The vehicle looks like it was fitted with parts bought at an AutoZone sale, and they don't make it look fast or furious.

This Toyota GR Supra features all kinds of add-ons in the front bumper, including those to the sides and a chunky apron, some vents on the hood, more such pieces on the front fenders, door attachments, new side skirts, a rear diffuser with incorporated brake light, and a ducktail spoiler.

As if the carbon fiber add-ons didn't provide enough black contrast to the yellow sports car, DarwinPro Aero saw the need for more such accents. The only thing that looks decent on it is the wheelset, which features a silver look. The ten-spoke alloys spin around the red brake calipers.

And for that license plate reference made in the title, well, you have already seen it, haven't you? This won't come as a shock if you know your cars, but if you don't, we will remind you that the latest-gen Toyota Supra is the same car beneath the skin as the latest BMW Z4, with the former being offered as a coupe and the latter as a roadster solely.

We don't recommend anyone to give their GR Supra such a hideous makeover. Nonetheless, it appears we're part of a minority, as after scrolling through the comments on the Instagram post embedded below, it seems that almost everyone loves this look. As for the tuner, it says that these components were "meticulously designed for a stunning visual upgrade," referring to them as being part of a soft kit.

Details surrounding the pricing haven't been released, but we are certain DarwinPro Aero will answer this question if you reach out to them. In the meantime, we'll remind you that a 2024 Toyota Supra will cost you in excess of $45,540 for the base model, with its 255 hp (259 ps/190 kW) and 295 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque 2.0L four-pot connected to auto 'box.

The mid-spec and top-of-the-line flavors use a 3.0L six-cylinder engine with forced induction, making 382 hp (387 ps/285 kW) and 368 lb-ft (499 Nm), and they have respective MSRPs of $57,650 and $64,375. The mid-range trim level can also be specified with a manual gearbox in addition to the automatic one.
