Although it was never officially exported to Europe, the Ford Mustang was recently voted as the most desirable classic car on the Old Continent and we know for a fact that the fifth-generation pony is popular as well. Thankfully, grey imports are about to end with the next-gen Mustang, which will be sold in Europe via Ford dealerships starting next year.
Musclecar car enthusiasts must be overjoyed by the prospect, but we know at least one person that won’t be driving a Ford Mustang anytime soon. We’re talking about an average European Joe that had its first Mustang experience as a passenger at Ford’s Lommel Proving Grounds in Belgium. The V8-powered Mustang GT, which was driven by one of the company’s professional test driver, was a little too much for the poor fellow, who thought screaming is the best way to handle gravity.
After a 3-minute ride on the 20-curve handling course, where Jesus, Mary and Joseph were summoned several times, the driver takes on the high speed track, causing his frightened passenger to ask: “There’s more? What do you mean high speed, we’ve been going high speed for 10 minutes!”. He eventually survives the speedy sprint, but it’s really amazing his lunch didn’t call it quits.
