Jeep Turns 70, Extra Features Offered

Since a car can't actually buy you drinks when it is celebrating its anniversary, the single way that car can thank the world for standing by its side all those years is to offer a little extra when coming home from the dealership.

Instead of launching a year filled with pointless anniversary concerts and such, the Americans from Chrysler decided the best way to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Jeep brand is to offer more features across the range.

“The Jeep brand’s legendary heritage and capability have made it iconic – well-known and loved throughout the world,” said said Mike Manley, Jeep CEO.

“Since they were first produced in 1941, Jeep vehicles have been the authentic benchmark for off-road capability, having mastered more terrain, led more adventures and provided drivers more freedom than any other vehicle before or since.”

Pretty much the entire lineup of Jeep vehicles (Compass, Grand Cherokee, Liberty, Patriota and Wrangler) will get special editions this year, dubbed simply, but effectively, 70th Anniversary Edition models.

The features added are mostly meant to impress from the visual standpoint and they include new wheels, 70th anniversary logos, redesigned seats, new floor mats, leather steering wheels, unique cluster overlay and needles and more (contact your dealer for more details).

“As part of our celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Jeep brand, we are creating stunning, premium special-edition models of each vehicle in our lineup that pay homage to the history of the legendary Jeep brand,”
added the company's CEO.
