Back in June, Jaguar delivered an absurdly cool sedan proposal, in the form of the XE SV Project 8. Nevertheless, the 600-pony four-door is still testing on the Nurburgring and we've got the spy video to prove it.
As you'll be able to notice in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, the supercharged V8 animal is flying from one rumble-strip to the other. So, where is the fire?

Well, for one thing, the Leaping Cat could be aiming to set a Nurburgring production four-door record.

With the automaker only set to bring 300 examples of the XE SV Project 8 to the world (the thing is hand-assembled at the SVO Technical Center in Warwickshire), the production part of the tag might start a debate. However, judging by the fact that Ring records are starting to generate more and more controversy these days, we won't pay all that much attention to this aspect.

Since we mentioned the four-door Nurburgring lap time record, we'll list the two targets that define this accolade. If we are to talk production matters, the 510 hp Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is the one that deserves to be mentioned, with the Italian having gone round the circuit in 7:32.

However, if we take one-offs and special builds into account, the Subaru name shows up. We'll remind you that a WRX STI Type RA NBR Special managed to complete the Green Hell task in 6:57.5, with the feat having taken place back in July. To put things in a different light, the 600 hp time attack monster nearly tied the Porsche 918 Spyder.

Returning to the SVO monster we're here to discuss, the 600 ponies delivered by the blown 5.0-liter motor are harnessed with the help of an all-wheel-drive system, which means that beating the Giulia Q shouldn't be all that difficult.
