As the Jaguar F-Type is getting closer to becoming a production model, a move that was confirmed earlier this month, the waves of rumors surrounding the car are also starting to grow stronger.
The latest piece of unofficial news related to the mid-size cat (via Inside Line) places a 5.0-liter V8 powerplant under the hood. The aforementioned source spoke to a company insider, but this didn't mention if we're going to get the supercharged or the naturally aspirated version of the engine.
Until that becomes official, we’ll remind you that Jaguar recently announced two power levels for the “entry-level” supercharged 3.0-liter V6 unit of the car, with customers being able to choose between 340 and 380 hp.
The new Jag will make its public debut later this year, probably at the Paris Motor Show and will go on sale next year.
