The Hyundai Veloster has finally gone on sale in Australia, as innovative coupe has been priced from AUD23,990 and is available in two trim levels. However, the Turbo isn’t available yet, and so you can only have it with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine that makes use of direct injection to deliver 140 hp and 167 Nm of peak torque.
As standard, the car comes with a six-speed manual gearbox, but for another AUD2,000 you can have it as an automatic. However, in true Hyundai style, both deliver the same 6.4 L/100km combined.

Standard kit on the Australian market includes ESP, hill start assist for the DCT version, LCD touchscreen and obviously the unique door arrangement.

The higher equipment grade, Veloster +, comes with colour-coded 18-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, push-button start, an electric driver’s seat and panoramic sunroof. This version starts at $27,990 for the manual and $29,990 with the DCT option.
