How to Control Audio Functions on Your BMW with Voice Commands

In case you didn't already know, you can control your car's features using voice commands. Anything from switching audio inputs down to selecting a track on a CD or USB stick can be done using your voice.
In this article we'll show you how to use some of these functions. In order to switch the audio source to FM Radio all you have to do is press the audio command button on the steering wheel and say "Radio". Next, without pressing the speech button again, choose the preferred kind of radio: FM, AM, Satellite by saying it out loud.

The iDrive system will get you into the specified radio range. For example, for FM radios, you can then specify the frequency you want to listen to, by saying it out loud and the system will play it for you.

While listening to the radio, you can still use all other voice commands too. By pressing the speech button, the volume will be instantly lowered and you can say the next command. For more info, check the video below.
