The new 7 Series can be fitted with what BMW calls "Rear Seat Entertainment System", a feature that will keep the people in the back occupied while you're driving your car (you know what we're talking about, parents).
In this guide, we'll tell you how to use this system. If your car has this optional feature, the backs of the front seats will have 2 displays on them, one for each side. On the center armrest you'll find an iDrive controller that looks pretty much like the one on the central console.
The one in the back has 2 different features though. First of all, you'll notice 4 extra buttons. The ones on the bottom, with the letters "L" and "R" allow you to choose which screen to control. There's an LED on each to let you know which one is selected.
The buttons on the upper side allow you to control the volume on your display devices. The 7 Series also allows you to attach external devices to your iDrive system, using the block of connectors located between the front seats, on the center stack.
It allows you to connect headphones, USB sticks, USB devices and RGB units to the car's system, for a complex and comprehensive coverage. For more details, check out the video below.
