If you had your eye on a brand new Honda Civic in India, now is as good a time as any to buy one. Most likely due to the lack of sales, Honda is going to effectively withdraw the current generation (actually, it’s old) Civic from the the market. The company will continue to built the car with what kits it’ got, which should last until November.
However, after that, no plans have been announced to switch to the next-generation Civic, the model launched in America last year.

One reason for the decision to pull the Civic from India is the lack of a compatible small diesel. The European hatch is getting a 1.6-liter diesel with 120 hp next year, but this is not considered suited for India.

The current Civic sedan is offered with a 1.8-liter in S and V trim levels, with either manual or automatic gearboxes. It’s been available in this form since 2006.
