Revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show earlier this year, the Honda Vezel is the automaker’s next “urban SUV”, which will slotted under the CR-V crossover.
Scheduled to be built in North America as well starting 2015, the Vezel, like most Honda models, is expected to receive beefed-up version from Mugen, the company’s number one engine tuner and performance parts supplier.
Honda has yet to confirm that Mugen will be allowed to meddle with the small SUV, but a brochure scan leaked via ameblo.jp has revealed the exterior design of the new “Premium Sports SUV”.
Compared to the series model, the Mugen will gain grey accents on the front spoiler and grille, a set of alloy wheels, a rear apron, roof spoiler, new exhaust pipes, side skirts and a lowered suspension. Further details will likely be revealed early next year, when the Vezel Mugen should be unveiled.
The 2014 Honda Vezel will go on sale later this week with an impressive amount of tech features and anew hybrid drivetrain called “Sport Hybrid i-DCD”.
