How much of their yearly motorcycle production do you think Honda sells in the US? Nope, you’re wrong, it’s 1.6% of their total worldwide sales. The bulk of their production goes to the Asian market, a whopping 79%.
Honda officials are keen to capitalize on the huge opportunities offered by india, a huge country of 1.2-billion inhabitants, with a virtually limitless market potential. With India’s population continuing to grow, and with their economy developing and more people having access to the financial resources to buy their own motorcycle, they will definitely opt for one of Honda’s offerings, like the recently released Dream Yuga (Hoonda’s first solo bike, after having jointly operated the Honda Hero brand for 26 years). As such, Honda expect to sell 30% of their entire motorbike production in India, by the year 2020.

We think that it is a distinct possibility for this to happen, as India slowly rises out of widespread poverty they will need something to get around quickly and efficiently, so a small Honda motorbike is just what they’ll need.
