The Indonesian Intarnational Motor Show, currently underway in Jakarta was the venue chosen by Honda to reveal their refreshed CR-Z hybrid, for the 2013 model-year. The updates aren’t particularly obvious, and are limited to a revised front grille and bumper, new fog lamps, xenon headlights with LED DRLs, as well as LED rear lights, new rear diffuser and new 17-inch rims.
Step inside and the two-tone (black/red) seats will catch your eye, and so will the rev counter which now gives the driver the possibility of choosing from three different backlighting options (green, red or blue). Under the bonnet, Honda has retained the 1.5-liter unit, which produces 118 hp with the manual gearbox, while being aided by a 20 hp electric motor. Both engines can be made to run at the same time, in order to boost performance, by selecting the new Sport + mode, via a new button on the center console.
Honda will undoubtedly bring the refreshed CR-Z to Paris, and we will be there to bring you live pictures and information.
