Honda Insight Facelift Unveiled ahead of Frankfurt Debut

When we tested the Honda Insight, we found an interesting package, especially when we took the price into consideration. However, the car did have a few downsides that could become annoying. Well, it seems that Honda is keen to improve its hybrid, with the company set to unveil the facelifted version of the Insight at the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show.

Honda has only released one image of the revamped Insight, adding that it will bring both visual and technical modifications. The company wanted to make the vehicle bit more appealing, as well as increase its efficiency.

You know us, we'll start with the tech mods: Honda hasn't offered to many details about these changes, but the company said that the CO2 emissions have dropped from 105 to 96 grams per km. It looks like we'll have to wait for the German event in order to see exactly what tweaks the engineers have done.

As for the exterior changes, we can see a redesigned front fascia, which we expect to not only have a visual role, but also an aerodynamic one.

The 2012 Honda Insight also comes with interior updates, Honda stating that we'll receive improved materials. However, the carmaker has also worked on the technical side, offering us a climate control system that is more efficient through the use of a better thermal isolation.
