Sooner or later, people in the city will have to go around in tiny three-wheelers powered by flowers and wind while oldschool gas guzzlers will be banished. Well, if you’re a retro type of guy, your only chance to be oldschool then could lay in one of the three-wheelers of the past. Like this 1960 Mitsubishi TM15 here.
You’ll really going to make a sensation in one of these, should you fully restore one and fit it an electric motor. And that’s because they are very rare. So rare, the Internet barely knows anything about them.
All we could found is that the Mitsubishi TM15 was preceded by the Mizushima model, which was basically the same thing minus the doors, roof and front hood.
Then came the Mitsubishi Go, TM18, followed by the Mitsubishi Leo, which was looking like one of those Angry Birds characters. The TM15 followed shortly and, according to the official ad description, it is powered by a 1,145 cc two-cylinder four stroke engine making 36 horsepower and mated to a four-speed manual box.
The owner says the engine still runs, but you’ll definitely have to do something about that exterior, unless you want it to look like some odd Japanese ratrod. The rusty panels won’t be a problem as it looks to be only on the surface, but the problem is with the missing windshield.
Guess you’ll have to order a custom one from a specialized shop or something, because that’s unobtainium now.
