Last year, Nissan's US operations totaled almost 899k sales, which is a far cry from Toyota's (second place overall on the market) more than 2.24 million deliveries or even Honda's 1.3 million vehicles.
Naturally, something needs to be done going forward, as the sales did increase by more than 23% compared to 2022, so it's clear that both Nissan and Infiniti are on a positive trend. Well, that can only mean more introductions to keep their model lines fresh – such as the arrival of the next-generation Infiniti QX80 with lots of Monograph cues.

How about Nissan? Well, if we are to believe the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, what the brand needs is simple – a refreshed Frontier that's ready to duke it out with the all-new N400 Toyota Tacoma, Chevy Colorado, and GMC Canyon, Ford Ranger, as well as the refreshed Jeep Gladiator or the upgraded Honda Ridgeline. If the automaker doesn't oblige, no worries; the good folks over at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube have already imagined the CGI looks of the potential 2025 Nissan Frontier facelift.

It's interesting first to note the recent evolution of the American mid-size pickup truck sector. Last year, Toyota kept its crown even though its Tacoma king was ready to switch generations – it marginally dropped from over 237k units in 2022 to almost 235k vehicles in 2023. That was nothing to worry the Japanese automaker as its closest competitor – Chevy's all-new Colorado, only reached a little more than 71k, a significant drop from over 89k in 2022.

Third-placed Nissan Frontier also registered a dramatic setback from 76,183 to 58,135 deliveries last year. That's kind of odd because it's a V6-exclusive offering that also has an excellent Mercedes-Benz nine-speed automatic transmission made under license by JATCO, a Nissan subsidiary. Naturally, the Japanese automaker is now thinking about ways to stop hemorrhaging, and one of the quick solutions was to introduce the retro-inspired Hardbody version at the top of the roster late last year.

However, that won't help them as much as arriving on the market with a D41-focused refresh, right? The channel's resident pixel master has unofficially cooked just that, and the 310-hp pickup truck looks subtly enhanced at the front and rear, as per the hypothetical modifications. On the other hand, inside the cockpit, the pickup truck finally escapes the 1990s atmosphere thanks to a new HVAC control setup and a larger, floating-style infotainment display.

Of course, do take all these renderings with a healthy dose of salt because Nissan hasn't announced anything official about a potential revamp of its Frontier mid-size pickup truck. Alas, that doesn't mean we can't vote if we like the unofficial changes or not – and let's also select a favorite among the ritzy color options showcased in the video feature embedded below, shall we?
