Last year, Honda sold no less than 1.3 million vehicles on the US automotive market, and much of the performance was owed to the namesake brand rather than its Acura premium division.
The Japanese automaker's American division expects the Honda brand to reach 1.3 million sales alone in 2024 while Acura strives for 150k on the back of upcoming models like the all-new, all-electric ZDX and ZDX Type S, significantly refreshed MDX, the upgraded RDX, and an all-new (CDX) compact crossover SUV tucked at the base of the lineup.

Honda, meanwhile, has already made the first step to support the expected 10 to 15% growth – they presented the first images of the 2025 Civic Hybrid, a Touring Sedan that also shares with the rest of the lineup the subtle enhancements and feature upgrades arriving for the 2025MY as part of the mid-cycle facelift. Aside from that, Honda will also start sales of the Prologue EV, bring a CR-V Fuel Cell Vehicle (FCEV), and upgrade the Odyssey minivan.

But do you think that is enough? Some fans would love to see the high-selling CR-V compact crossover SUV (last year, it was the overall best-selling hybrid – from any segment – in America) go through the facelift procedure alongside the Civic sibling. However, that may not be the case, or at least not for the first part of 2024, because the eleventh generation Civic is more than a year older than the sixth iteration of the CR-V – the former launched in June 2021 and the alter in July 2022, respectively.

No worries, though, as anyone who is impatient to see the refreshed 2025 or 2026 Honda CR-V in advance will only need a little suspension of disbelief because the imaginative realm of digital car content creators is ready and willing to oblige. The good folks over at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube have a satellite venue dubbed AutoYa Interior, and that's where all the (CGI) CR-V action occurs. The host and the resident pixel master are quite thorough – and we get to see the compact CUV from virtually every angle.

It all begins with a quick peek at the front, followed by a rear POV sporting the CR-V with the doors opened. The feature then switches to the interior changes and also presents the potential modifications (new trim, bigger and portrait-oriented infotainment screen, a new steering wheel) in conjunction with the ritzy color reel. There are also a couple of comparison shots from both inside and outside, followed by the shade reel from the exterior.

There is no talk about the powertrain choice, though, as the rumor mill suspects that Honda won't make any changes under the hood. At most, in case the 2025 Civic Hybrid brings anything new, they could also make the switch on the facelifted CR-V Hybrid. Still, the chances are more significant that the compact passenger car is looking at the crossover's powertrain – an electrified 2.0-liter two-motor hybrid setup with 204 hp and e-CVT.
