With summer fleeting, some of us are moving toward warmer waters, literally. Well, for those of us for whom money is no problem, take a closer look at the Sealion, an award-winning superyacht with a fresh refit, just waiting to envelop you in the finest living this life has to offer.
Folks, if you often find yourself looking for the next lavish machine to experience, look no further. Why? Well, the Sealion, a ship built by Viareggio Super Yachts, offers the finest creature comforts and activities you can think of. Best of all, you can taste all this for no less than $480K during the low season.

Now, there's a whole bunch that goes into a machine of this nature. That said, if I were to try and run through everything this puppy has to offer, we'd be here for a few hours. So, to make sure you can spend time with the family while also giving you a taste of the Sealion, I'll run through some of the more adventurous essentials we can look forward to.

Let me start off by pointing out that this ship was actually built back in 2009, but I wouldn't be inviting you aboard some old ship; no. Instead, to ensure that this idea is never impregnated into your head, let me point out that this beauty has seen a multi-million-dollar refit just this year. Actually, refit doesn't really do everything justice; it's a "rebuild!"

Before we go on, I urge you to check out the images in the gallery. This way, everything I'll be talking about should make some sense. Be sure to take in the beach club, unfurled in all its glory, the outdoor lounges, interior ones too, and all those little nooks and crannies found all over the ship. Ready?

Overall, Sealion is massive. Not only is it 62 m (203 ft) long, but it also presents an 11 m (36 ft) beam. In short, there's more space in the Sealion than in a Florida condo. A draft of 3.2 m (10.5 ft) also ensures you and your guests creep their way into some of those neat lagoons with crystal-clear waters.

However, as big as this ship is, only six cabins are found aboard. This means that 12 guests will be able to find beds in which to rest their heads. Beyond that, it's the teak patios or couches for any stowaways. Heck, the plush carpeting seems as good an idea as any.

Why so little sleeping space in the Sealion? Well, the rest of the superyacht is reserved for those lounges we see in the gallery, impressive outdoor area and lounges, and, best of all, for toys of every kind you can imagine. Heck, even the crew of 16 members pampering 12 guests is an experience for sure.

For example, the interiors we see are the touch of a crew from the UK dubbed Candy & Candy London. As Northrop & Johnson likes to state, "Glamor is blended with contemporary design and quality, and the interior of Sealion is beautifully decorated and detailed with luxurious furnishings and amenities that ensure comfort and relaxation for the guests on board." I couldn't agree more. There's even a piano in case someone is inspired by their lifestyle.

One aspect of the interior design that I found rather neat is the way spaces seem to disappear into one another, offering the feeling that everything blends into one massive space. This effect seems to be carried out with high-gloss surfaces, glass, semiprecious metals, and, if I'm not mistaken, even some plastics, pardon me, "composite" materials. Once polished granite and marble are added, you'll feel like you're living it up in some palace.

Then, there are all the exterior living areas we need to cover. If there's one thing the Sealion doesn't lack, it's outdoor living. Heck, the massive sun deck pampers guests with large sunbeds, lounge seating, alfresco dining, and a jacuzzi. Talk about luxury and comfort.

Now, I've kept on mentioning that Sealion is on a different level when it comes to toys and activities, and if you've managed to see the images we added to this article, you know that's true. After all, that beach club with its floating dock, jet skis docked to it, and tenders alongside the ship aren't there just for presentation purposes; that's what's waiting for you!

In all, three tenders fit in the Sealion, two SeaDoos, four Sea Bobs, one e-foil, wakeboards, jet skis, inflatable kayaks and SUPS, and inflatable slides hanging off the edge of the ship. If you're into fishing or snorkeling, there's gear for that, too. Honestly, the only thing missing is a personal submarine.

All that, an impeccable and fresh interior, and a massive and inviting exterior are the reasons why Sealion has been awarded multiple times over the course of its lifetime. It holds the title of "Winner of the World Superyacht" in 2010, "International Yacht" in 2011, and "SBID Design Awards" in 2011. What more could you want?

I know what you could want, to take a trip aboard the Sealion; I know I would. All you have to do now is get ahold of your favorite broker and go from there. Just be ready for a vacation unlike any you may have experienced thus far.
