Although it's tucked under Toyota Motor Corporation's protective umbrella, the Subaru brand is nowhere nearly as active as Toyota or Lexus in specific markets – including the all-important region of North America.
While Toyota is posting a tidal wave of novelties this fall – including the all-new XV80 ninth generation Camry mid-size sedan and the first-ever Crown SUV at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Subaru is a bit subtler and only has one big novelty for this year's edition. Of course, it's anyone's guess about what's coming.
As far as Subaru is concerned, the Japanese automaker is tightlipped about the premiere – they only said that an "all-new fully redesigned vehicle will make its global debut at 9:40 AM PT (12:40 PM ET) on November 16 at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show." Naturally, that's a cause for ample speculation across the rumor mill.
And when that happens, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators is never too far behind. You see, Subaru has already updated to 2024 model year characteristics most of its nameplates – Crosstrek, Forester, Outback, Ascent, Impreza, Legacy, BRZ, and WRX. The all-electric Solterra is still a 2023 model year, but we don't think it will make a case for itself at the LA Auto Show – maybe they're just going to have it there in 2024MY form, too.
Instead, everyone speculates about the all-new model that Subaru of America will have on stage – some think it's the next Ascent, others think it might be a fresh Impreza, and so on. For what it's worth, the latest ideas across the vast parallel universes of vehicular CGI speculate about the impending release of the next Subaru Legacy or Forester – the good folks over at the AutomagzPro and PoloTo channels on YouTube have decided to take a look at what comes next from Subaru - in CGI.
First, the resident pixel master from AutomagzPro believes the eighth-generation Subaru Legacy mid-size sedan is just around the corner and has the virtual design to prove it. He or she is also not shy of proposing futuristic styling for the Toyota Camry rival – all with a little bit of help from AI software, of course.
Secondly, the CGI expert behind PoloTo would instead focus on the next 2025 Subaru Forester crossover SUV. The AI-assisted design is much less exaggerated here, though, and it's almost like the model is getting a subtle refresh instead of a complete revamp. Now, of course, it is time to choose – would you rather give our CGI hall pass to the modern Subie Legacy, although there's a slim chance it will look like this, or go with the blander but potentially more accurate portrayal of the next Subaru Forester. If you want our two cents on the matter, we will choose both of them since they're wishful thinking.
