Xavier Degon and Antoin Guy started an epic round-the-world trip in a Citroen C-Zero, this February. They planned to trek through no fewer than 17 countries, which equated to around 24,000 Km (15,000 miles), their starting point being the French city of Strasbourg.
Their trip seems to be going well, and after having passed through the US in March, they are now in Asia. After passing through Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam, they are now in China, more specifically in Chengdu, the capital of the Sichuan province, where they arrived on July 18th.

After China, the ‘Electric Odyssey’ will pass through Kazakhstan on August 10th before slowly (but surely) working their way back into mainland Europe and Strasbourg. This C-Zero is not the first car to go around the world, as a Tesla Roadster, driven by a Dutchman accomplished the feat last year.

Also, it seems that the French really like testing their EVs under extreme conditions, as one French adventurer took his Citroen Berlingo EV through Africa successfully, while another Berlingo EV was driven over 1,000 km (620 miles) without stopping, from France into Germany.

Japan is the most EV-friendly place int he world.
