The reason why you get a BMW M car varies from one owner to another. Once you start modifying it for the track though, things are pretty clear, you bought that car for its performances.
And there's no joke when it comes to BMW M cars' performances, especially when you spice things up a bit. That's what a forum member did to his E92 M3 and got a hell of a car.
His mods include a KW 3-way suspension, 4:10 differential, GT4 front lip and rear spoiler, GFK hood and rear trunk lid, full roll cage, Recaro seats, Schroth harness, CAE shifter, Akrapovic exhaust, Macht Schnell pulleys, StopTech brakes and many other things meant to give him that extra edge on the track.
However, all of these would've been in vain if he was what we call a Sunday driver. He would've had a great car to look at and that's about it. Fortunately for us, he's also an incredible driver and he just managed to do a 7:31 lap on the Bridge to Gantry portion of the Nurburgring.
And yes, that is a good time, for all of you out there that don't usually hit the 'Ring. Actually on sector times, he was faster with his car than an M3 GTS and that says a lot. Just for your enjoyment, we posted a video of his lap below.
