Ford’s 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine, the International Engine of the Year in 2012 and 2013, has won yet another prestigious prize, being presented with the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) Award for Automotive Innovation.
Built in the United Kingdom, the 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine delivers 125 horsepower and, in a Ford Fiesta, returns 65.7 mpg UK and emits only 99 g/km. The small engine is also available in the Focus, B-MAX, C-MAX, Tourneo Connect and Transit Connect. The upcoming EcoSport and next-generation Mondeo will receive it as well.
