Now that the Ford Transit has replaced the company’s E-Series, the Blue Oval has also seriously upgraded the complexity of the range and you can choose between an impressive number of configurations.
There are four body types, roof heights come in the same number, while the wheelbase area offers six choices. As you can imagine, not all of these can be matched, so, in order to make it easy for the customers to sort things out, Ford has recently launched the Combinator.
To put it another way, the Transit receives a configurator just like a passenger vehicle would. However, in addition to the usual feature, the Combinator comes with one designed to help you get started.
We are talking about the random configuration button on the right - one click and you get a perfect example of a build. Until the 2014 Transit arrives this fall, you'll have time to play with the Combinator here.
