The Volkswagen Caddy is not truly mature - the German light commercial vehicle has turned 30. To celebrate this, VW introduced the Caddy Edition 30 at last year’s Frankfurt Auto Show and now the British division of the company has announced the pricing for the vehicle.
The vehicle’s styling details are inspired from those of VW vans with sporty accents, such as the Transporter Sportline. It’s finished in Candy White, uses color-coloured bumpers, door handles and door mirrors and also features chromed details. The vehicle rides on 30-inch “Budapest” alloy wheels.

Under the hood, we find VW’s 140 hp 2.0 TDI unit, which takes the vehicle past the 62 mph mark in 10 seconds when paired with a six-speed manual. You can also order a DSG transmission, which surprisingly adds 0.1s to the aforementioned sprint time

The Caddy Edition 30’s list of features includes Bluetooth connectivity, Climatic air conditioning, leather steering wheel, an upgraded RCD 310 radio/CD unit, electric windows, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, tailgate with heated rear window and wash/wipe, height adjustable driver’s and passenger’s seats, plus front fog lights. Time upholstery is standard, but the DSG model comes with alcantara.

A total of 117 units of the Caddy Edition 30 will be brought to the UK, with each one set to retail for £17,660 (€20,600) in the case of the manual gearbox model, or £19,060 (€22,233) for the DSG-fitted one - the prices do not include VAT.
