Ford Transit Officially Replaces E-Series / Econoline

We’ve known for quite a while that Ford will bring the Transit van in the US. but the company has now released a video that officially announces the replacement of the E-series/Econoline with the Transit.
The US Transit will be put together at the company’s Kansas City plant and the vehicle has a great burden on its fenders, as it has to live up to the reputation of the vehicles it replaces. Thus, the Transit really becomes a global product. The carmaker uses the video to demonstrate us just how tough the van is built. We can see it being abused in a testing facility.

The Ford Transit is scheduled to enter the US market in 2013, with customers being able to choose between front-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive and a multitude of body configurations
