Almost every Ford model that rolls off the production lines of factories in the United States will likely remain in production into 2028 unless a sudden change of plans occurs in the strategy. The Ford F-150 Police Responder is part of the plan.
The new Ford F-150 Police Responder is going to be delivered starting early 2024 and will most likely remain in production through April 2028. That is the moment when the newly ratified contract expires. Order banks are already open.

The vehicle rolls off the production line of the Kansas City Assembly plant, while the factory in Dearborn manufactures another special version, the F-150 Raptor.

It is the second police variant produced by Ford to stay in production for the next four years. The Police Interceptor Utility, based on the Ford Explorer, will remain in production at the Chicago Assembly plant through the end of the UAW (United Auto Workers) contract.

Specifically designed to comply with a wide range of law enforcement requirements, the Ford F-150 Police Responder is one of the fastest vehicles in the Blue Oval's lineup.

The cargo space of the pickup truck has been converted into an emergency response equipment carrier.

The model is also equipped with a Police Perimeter Alert feature that monitors its exterior for motion or potential threats, automatically securing the vehicle and officer on board upon threat detection.

Meanwhile, the Police Engine Idle function allows the office to remove the key and exit the truck securely without losing power to the emergency essential lights and sirens.

The new Police Dark Car function turns off interior lighting and enables dash cluster dimming during surveillance operations to prevent the vehicle from drawing unwanted attention.

Ford equipped the Police Responder pickup truck with the Supplemental Heat Sanitation solution, which temporarily elevates the temperature on board above 133 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes to reduce viral concentration by 99 percent.

There is also the Ford Pro Uphill Integration System (UIS), which simplifies uplifts and programmable control, ensuring smooth integration with a 12-inch digital instrument cluster. The F-150 Police Responder is the second Ford Vehicle to receive the function after the Super Duty.

The For Pro Telematics and fleet management software, specifically designed to cut downtime and improve idle time and fuel consumption by 50 percent, are also part of the plan.

The Police Responder variant is available, for a start, with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine and a SuperCrew configuration. The PowerBoost hybrid variant will show up at a later date. The V6 that powers the police truck generates 400 horsepower (406 PS) and 500 lb-ft (678 Nm) of torque, which take the vehicle to a top speed of 120 mph (193 kph) and make it one of the fastest police trucks in the United States.

It is likely, though, that these figures will get un update for a mid-cycle refresh before 2028, when the newly ratified contract expires, as reported by FordAuthority.
