Sorry to burst your bubble, but you’re not actually getting to choose the design of a Ferrari model that’s coming out 25 years from now. Instead, you can decide the winner of Ferrari’s Top Design School Challenge 2015.
The contest has reached its final stage, where only four design schools of the initial 50 that entered remained. These four are: the Hochschule Pforzheim from Germany, which offers an automotive design course for its students and is viewed as one of the best in Europe; the College of Creative Studies in Detroit, USA, renowned all around the world for its excellent facilities and experienced staff; the Hongik University in Seoul, Korea, the top of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region and also the winner of the 2011 Ferrari World Design Contest; and finally, another entrant from Europe has made it into the finals in the form of ISD-Rubika from Valenciennes, France.

Students have had a whole year to come up with their proposals for the Ferraris of the future, and browsing through the gallery below will show that most of them took full advantage of the given time.

While some entries decided that keeping in touch with the current design language of the brand was a good idea, others went the full nine yards and came up with some very bizarre proposals. So weird, actually, that it’s hard to call them “cars,” not to mention “Ferraris.”

A special jury made up of eleven sonorous names from various fields of activity - like Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Paolo Pininfarina, Sebastian Vettel or Jay Kay (Jamiroquai) - is tasked with picking up a winner that will be announced on January 15, 2016, but the “Premio Speciale” (Special Prize) will be awarded by free vote.

The open public can vote on the dedicated Facebook page, and some favorites have already begun to put some distance between them and the rest of the pack. So, if you like one of the 12 finalists in particular, go and cast your vote.
