In case anyone forgot, one of the most significant novelties of June 2023 across the vast expanses of the automotive world was a Prancing Horse. That doesn't happen too often, so our eyes were peeled, and our ears stretched to discover everything about the Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale and Spider, the first street-legal 'Ferrari XX' models.
Usually, these variants are reserved for ultra-wealthy customers who do not mind paying an additional buck to get more bang from their Ferrari models – even if that means trailering them around the world's most quintessential racetracks. However, it appears that the Prancing Horse's corner office head honchos are watering down the circuit exclusivity of the 'XX' program – probably at the behest of other high-paying 'benefactors.'

Anyway, if you were wondering what's different between the Ferrari SF90 Stradale and the XX version, here's the rundown. The powertrain is subtly enhanced – still a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 plus three electric motors but now the power levels have risen from 986 to 1,016 horsepower to make sure it trumps the 1,001-hp V12-powered Lambo Revuelto PHEV. The same eight-speed dual-clutch sends all ponies to the AWD system, and the slightly lighter SF90 XX Stradale thunders down the street and tracks in 6.5s instead of 6.7s to 124 mph (200 kph). However, the top speed is slightly reduced at 199 mph (320 kph) from 211 mph/340 kph – and it's easy to see why when looking at the reworked rear now packing an LED light bar, more prominent air outlets, plus a massive, fixed rear wing.

And that mostly wraps up the changes – which probably also imply a humongous price increase for the limited edition of just 799 units (Stradale) and 599 examples for the Spider. However, we should not forget about the personalization factor – which is always ultra-important when dealing with exotics. While we wait for the SF90 XX to hit the aftermarket outlets for some additional tuning and customization, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators jumps to our aid with a proposed 'dream specification.' Shashank Das, the virtual artist better known as sdesyn on social media, has cooked this dark and menacing yet slightly cheerful digital design for the newly launched PHEV supercar, by the way.

The highlights include a deep glossy black overall look sprinkled with contrasting yellow accents, plus a touch of "a very minimalist livery in matte grey on the side of the car," which naturally has the 'SF90XX' script. Last but not least, the Italian thoroughbred rides on chunky-looking Rotiform SIX wheels to make it slightly rugged and more athletic. Naturally, those are also dressed in gloss black attire and have metallic red center caps to balance all the body's yellow accents. Cool or not? And do you think anyone will ever dare to transpose this into real life when deliveries kick off?
