When it comes to amazing SUV drag races, things rarely get any better than a Ferrari Purosangue going up against a Lamborghini Urus Performante in a classic quarter-mile battle. Many mainstream language experts claim "Purosangue" is some sort of hidden Leonardo da Vinci-like code that means "thoroughbred." This is great news for the Ferrari SUV because that's exactly what it needs to be to defeat the mighty Lambo SUV.
The Lamborghini Urus Performante was designed to be just a tad lighter than the standard Urus while boasting 16 more horsepower. This resulted in a faster acceleration time from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph), but the top speed didn't budge.

It has a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 657 hp or 666 ps with 627 lb-ft or 850 Nm of torque. This Italian bad boy can hit 62 mph or 100 kph in just 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 190 mph or 306 kilometers per hour. All that power is carefully directed to all four wheels through its 8-speed automatic transmission system.

It's not light, weighing 4,739 lbs. or 2,150 kilograms. The price for this gem was 209,000 British Pounds, which would translate into 260,999 US dollars. Mat Watson from the "carwow" YouTube channel is behind the wheel.

A brand-new 2025 Urus SE Hybrid with "two hearts" should cost around $258,000 in the United States and boasts a hybrid powertrain that can output 789 horsepower or 800 ps with 701 lb-ft or 950 Nm of torque. The 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) time and top speed are faster than the Performante's at 3.4 seconds and 194 mph (312 kph), respectively.

The Urus SE's known direct plug-in hybrid rivals would be the 729-hp Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid and the 738-horsepower BMW XM Label.

Moving on to the purebred Ferrari SUV, the Purosangue has a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine that produces 715 hp (725 ps) with 528 lb-ft or 716 Nm of torque. It weighs 4,482 pounds (2,033 kg), and under the right conditions, this baby should get from 0 to 60 mph (97 kph) in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 193 mph or 311 kph. This particular model costs about half a million British pounds, meaning $631,874.

Ferrari resisted the automotive trend of developing an SUV for a long time, but that all ended in September 2022 with the reveal of the Purosangue.

During the first race, the Lambo had a better start and got to the finish line first, but they didn't count that one. However, the Ferrari got its revenge in the following officially approved first race. The Lambo dominated the second race, while the third one went to the Purosangue. Interestingly enough, they were so close during the final run that they finished the 1/4-mile in 11.9 seconds.

The power, weight, torque, and price differences are fairly obvious. Still, the everyday person can only dream of owning one of these, so we'll throw the price difference out of the window and give the laurels to the Ferrari because although it's much more expensive than the Lambo, it won fair and square.

They went for a few 1/2-mile roll races after, where the V12 Ferrari dominated. The show ended after the Urus Performante won the brake test from 100 mph or 161 kph, proving it can hold its own against a considerably more expensive ride.
