Ferrari Australia has today announced that launch of the new F12 Berlinetta supercar, the most powerful road car the Prancing Horse has ever made. This rear-wheel drive super-GT replaces the old 599GTB and will be available for purchase at a whopping AUD691,100, which is quite a lot of money for one car.
If we were to convert that into US currency, we’d get $709,700 at today’s exchange rate, and that’s before road taxes. These Australian import taxes are quite unreasonable but you do still get quite a lot of car.
The F12 Berlinetta is powered by a front/mid-mounded 6.3-liter V12 that generates 545 kW (740 PS). This is enough to push it to 100 km/h in 3.1 seconds and on to a top speed o 340 km/h. It’s also wonderful to look at and a true work of engineering. Almost every part of the body is designed to channel air and create downforce or reduce drag.
