Gallardo Recalled in Australia: Steering System Fire

Lamborghini will have to fix about 70 Gallardo and Spyder models built under the 2004-2006 model years and sold in Australia because of a potential fire risk posed by the steering system of these supercars.
A high-pressure pipe for the power steering system may burst, causing a small leak that pose a fire risk for these exotic Lambos.

Lamborghini will fix the issue with the cars at no cost to the customer, with the repairs taking between two and five working days from the hand-over date.

No incidents regarding this issue have been reported in Australia, but Lamborghini probably learned of this fault from elsewhere.

Supercar fires are a common thing these days, so much so that we’re getting worried. While Lambo fires are not as frequent as Ferrari ones, it’s also true that Maranello makes a whole lot more cars, sore there are more of them to burn.
