The Japanese have no shortage of exciting cars that are produced by their own manufacturers. However, some clients still want the exclusivity and luxury a European brand offers. This was the case with the BMW Z4 Silver Top we showed you earlier this week and now the Ferrari California Limited Edition created by Cornes & Co.

The company that has been the main importer for the Italian marque in Japan for the past 30 years is organizing an “Autumn Fair” at which it will showcase the new 458 Italia, the “ultimate sport 12-cylinder Berlinetta” (the Ferrari 599), together with the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti.

The Limited Edition California takes the first front-engined V8 convertible and garnishes it with special touches like carbon fiber rocker panels, door handles and fuel cap. The most significant features are the new five-spoke diamond polished forged wheels with red prancing horse center caps bolted down by a set of titanium bolts.

Other features includes carbon fiber rear molding, Rosso Brake Calipers, and other interior exclusive upgrades. The Limited Edition Ferrari California is only being offered to Japanese customers. There will only be ten units sold of the car in preselected colors: Four done in Bianco/Nero, three in Rosso Corsa/Nero, and three in Nero/Creme.

You can’t put a price on exclusivity, but you can put one on a body kit. The whole car costs JPY26,500,000 or the equivalent of $320,000, which is about JPY3million ($36,000) over the standard model. The California has a top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph) and it can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under 4 seconds. The Limited Edition will have the same 4.3-liter V8 as the factory model, delivering 450 hp to the rear wheels.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
