When considering adopting a downsized lifestyle, many people dream of switching to a tiny home that looks and feels like a traditional house while also offering extra perks like mobility, a reduced footprint, and more freedom. Felicity is a luxurious, exceptionally crafted tiny home that can fulfill that dream, as it has everything one needs when living long-term with their family in a tiny house.
Many families with children might find downsizing an appealing idea but dismiss it on second thought due to the misconception that tiny homes don't offer enough space for a family. Here at autoevolution, we've seen numerous examples of tiny houses that could easily and comfortably fit the entire family. Felicity is yet another model that reiterates the idea that compact dwellings are not just for singles or couples.

It's true that tiny houses have significantly less square footage than conventional homes, but with a thoughtful layout and clever design choices, they can suit a modern family lifestyle. Felicity, the latest design coming from Colorado-based Frontier Tiny Homes, boasts an incredible two-story layout with two lofts and can easily sleep six people.

The ingenious, family-friendly configuration maximizes spaciousness and includes a stunning living room, a full kitchen, and a modern bathroom on the main level and two bedrooms upstairs.

It's built on a triple-axle trailer and measures 28 feet long and 8.5 feet wide. What makes it stand out from the sea of tiny homes available on the market is the peculiar second-story loft configuration that offers not only full standing height but also an easy passage from the main loft to the secondary one, which could be the kid's bedroom, via a narrow corridor above the living room.

In order to create this setup, the designers had to stretch beyond standard measurements, though. This home is one foot above the standard highway height, so those who find the design appealing should take this into consideration if they plan to change location frequently.

Felicity's interior is inviting and stylishly decorated and offers the luxuries and comfort levels of a contemporary home with the right balance between form and function. Downstairs, the typical open-space layout has the lounge area in a central position, with easy access to all the other areas of the house. It has vaulted ceilings to accentuate openness and is fitted with a comfortable full-size sofa, an electric fireplace with mantel, and a built-in bookshelf.

The modern L-shaped kitchen is on the right and features a bay window that offers beautiful views and a large pantry. Plenty of white Thermofoil cabinets provide storage for all your kitchenware, while full-size appliances, including a 13.9 cu.ft stainless steel refrigerator, a 4-burner gas range, a microwave, and a large sink, ensure its functionality. Acacia solid wood butcher block countertops with live edge and modern fixtures add a touch of luxury to the space.

The bathroom is on the other end of the house and is equally modern and luxurious, with a full-size tile shower with glass door, a toilet, and a large vanity with a live-edge countertop similar to the one in the kitchen. There is also a built-in linen closet and space for a washer/dryer combo.

One of the most ingenious features inside Felicity is the single staircase that leads upstairs and the landing above the living room that connects the two lofts. Other tiny homes with similar layouts have split staircases or a ladder for the secondary loft, but both of these solutions might end up taking up more space.
There is no storage integrated into this staircase, but the two lofted bedrooms have built-in closets for maximum storage.

The main loft has all the qualities of a master bedroom, as it offers enough room for a queen-sized bed and includes two large wardrobes and a dresser. Two lateral windows keep it bright and airy, and most importantly, it offers full standing height. The secondary loft can be fitted with either a full or twin bed and can function as a kid's sleeping space or a guest bedroom. Both bedrooms offer a certain degree of privacy thanks to separating walls.

The exterior of this tiny home is almost conventionally modern, clad in a combination of tongue and groove cedar siding and maintenance-free metal siding, complemented by a metal roof. No less than 11 windows and an 8-foot-wide sliding entrance door allow plenty of natural light to flood the interior. There is also a rear door that opens next to the bathroom and could come in handy when you've been pottering outside and don't want to track dirt inside the house.

True to the meaning of its name, the Felicity tiny home will bring happiness into the lives of its residents, allowing them to experience the luxury of living in a tiny house that actually feels like a real home. Frontier Tiny Homes offers this model for a starting price of $149,000.
