The Radar RD6 Horizon is the fastest pickup truck in the East, says Geely. The carmaker is already accepting reservations for the all-wheel drive version, even though it has never disclosed the price. Not much information about the performance of the model has been unveiled either, so customers don't really know what they are buying.
The Geely Radar RD6 Horizon can run from 0 to 60 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 4.5 seconds, making it one of the fastest out there. But the Chinese model still can't battle the American competition. It is just as fast as the Ram 1500 TRX with 702 horsepower, but it trails behind the Ford Ranger Raptor R, which does the same run in 3.6 seconds.

Furthermore, if we go into the electric pickup truck territory to find real competitors for the Chinese EV, the Radar RD6 Horizon is just going to need to dust off while watching the Ford F-150 Lightning, the Tesla Cybertruck, the GMC Hummer EV, and the Rivian R1T putting some distance behind them.

The all-wheel drive Radar comes with a redesigned grille compared to the one with the rear-wheel version, which was launched back in 2022. The name of the model shows up in large letters across the front fascia, while the 4WD badge is placed on the tailgate.

The pickup is 207 inches (5,260 millimeters) long, 74.8 inches (1,900 millimeters) wide, and 74 inches (1,880 millimeters) in height. The size of the cargo bed remains unchanged. The all-wheel drive comes with a more generous payload of up to 1,907 pounds (865 kilograms).

What powers the Radar Horizon RD6 is a dual permanent magnet synchronous electric drive system that generates a total of 422 horsepower (428 metric horsepower) and 438 pounds-feet (594 Newton meters) of torque, which are enough to make it accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 'let me brag about it' 4.5 seconds on its way to a top speed of 118 mph (190 kph).

Geely has also updated the braking system to match the extra oomph provided by the two electric motors that power the AWD instead of the single-motor layout of the RWD.

Seven driving modes are available on board, off-road-focused modes included. The driver can switch from one to another using voice control. The vehicle is equipped with an intelligent all-terrain feedback system, which allows it to adjust torque distribution to all four corners.

An external discharge function enables the pickup truck to provide a maximum power of 21 kW and allows it to operate as an electrical power source.

There is no word on pricing just yet, but it will surely start above the rear-wheel drive variant, which goes for 145,800 yuan, which is the equivalent of $20,220.
