Yes, apparently Army personnel do have fun with their (usually) very expensive and high-tech vehicles, in this case a Humvee and a not-so-high-tech South Korean Army’s Kia KM131.
The two vehicles are waiting at a set of traffic lights side by side and as the lights go green, the Kia’s considerable weight advantage over the Hummer is obvious as the nippier car gets off the line a lot quicker. Once they’re up and going, it’s quite even but we don’t get to see any more of the race as the Kia makes a left turn at the next intersection.
This, along with the ‘Humvee driving in Iraq’ videos prove that Army personnel enjoy themselves while on the job and that discipline and order are at the top of their priorities list.
