With Ferrari getting closer and closer to returning in the turbo arena, there are still quite a lot of people fearing the move as if it were some natural disaster. This is a Ferrari F40 LM and not only is it ultra-rare, it’s also got a Chrome Blue wrap. That’s right - this thing here defies one through its sheer presence. It may be too flashy, but it’s got the correct attitude for a Ferrari.
And we’re pretty sure the new forced induction Maranello creations will be just as good. After all, Maserati’s twin-turbo V6 and V8, which are “designed by Maserati in Modena and built at the Ferrari plant at Maranello”, are brilliant engines, so there’s nothing to fear.
Sure, the natural aspiration has its assets, but we think this and turbochargers can peacefully coexist in Ferrari’s range.
