With about two years since the short wheel base version of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class ended its production for lack of demand, the more expensive G-Wagen five-door is selling like gangbusters, but there are still people out there who long for the departed model.
The tuning specialists from Brabus, for example, are still offering somewhat new tuning packages for the G-Class SWB, also known as the Kurz (Short) in Germany.
The model in the following images used to be a Mercedes-Benz G 500 BA3 Final Edition, so it's somewhat more rare than your average G-Class SWB.
Brabus managed to make it even more rare by fitting it with the Widestar bodykit, a set of 22 inch Monoblock E nine spoke wheels and a larger engine, from the era when the Bottrop engineers were still followers of the “there's no replacement for displacement” tag line.
The real killer is the hand-sewn leather interior, which pretty much looks like the four-wheeled version of the “opulence, I has it” oligarch character form the DirecTV commercial.
