A few months ago we were reporting about an evil-looking Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG that had had its outsides and insides tickled by the nutters from Brabus Germany.
With a staggering 800 hp and an Earth-moving-from-orbit 1420 nm (1047 lb ft) of torque that was sadly limited to “just” 1100 Nm (811 lb ft), the Brabus SL 65 AMG with the 800 package was like something from out of this world.

Apparently not though, as Brabus just unveiled something even better, only this time the tuning project is based on the SL 63 AMG.

Despite four less cylinders and 0.4-liters of displacement less, the Brabus 850 package for the Mercedes-Benz SL 63 AMG delivers... you guessed it!... 850 hp. Not only that, but that huge amount of horsepower also comes with a massive 1450 Nm (1069 lb ft) of torque – which is also sadly limited to protect the drivetrain to 1150 Nm (848 lb ft).

There are no acceleration numbers available at the moment, but the car's top speed is now in the range of 370 km/h (230 mph), which is faster than the speed required for a passenger plane to take off, just to out things into perspective.

Paired with an interior that is to die for and an entire range of exterior upgrades made from carbon fiber, this Brabus 850 SL is not only the fastest but also one of the coolest-looking roadster in the world right now.
