The American automaker Dodge is at the cusp of a veritable revolution – its L-bodied Challenger coupe and Charger sedan have ceased production, and the Hemi V8 is going away from the Durango SUV, too.
Sure, the S650 seventh-generation 2024 Ford Mustang still outsold the discontinued sixth-generation Chevy Camaro and third-generation Dodge Challenger during the first three-quarters of the month because some inventory was still left in stock. But Dodge is now looking toward new horizons with the slimmed-down roster consisting of the 2024 Hornet compact CUV starting at $31,400 and also available with a novel PHEV powertrain and the mid-size Durango crossover SUV kicking off at $41,670.

Soon, there will also be the all-new eighth-generation Charger based on the all-new STLA Large architecture with both a traditional two-door fastback coupe body style and the recent four-door sedan format. Initially, only the Charger Daytona with all-electric (up to 670 hp) power will be available, followed by the sedan and coupe with either EV or Sixpack 3.0-liter Hurricane twin-turbo inline-six oomph of up to 550 hp to make sure it soars above the Mustang Dark Horse and fast sedans like the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V.

But, of course, a model lineup with just three nameplates is a bit skinny, right? Well, Stellantis is used to even less if we think about examples like Abarth, Lancia, or Chrysler. The latter only has the Pacifica MPV to show for itself, making it a derelict shadow of its former self, for sure. As it turns out, no one really wants Dodge to copy its negative example – not even the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. Thus, here is Kleber Silva, a Brazil-based virtual artist known as KDesign AG on social media, who has decided to have a CGI go at imagining additional new entries into the current Dodge lineup.

First and foremost, the pixel master asked us, "What if the legendary Durango was reimagined as an electric SUV?" Directly inspired by the all-electric Dodge Charger Daytona, this boxier take on the Durango lifestyle also seems to have a Rivian background in its virtual DNA as it tries to "capture the essence of power and innovation." It's a little rough around the edges if you ask us, but that doesn't mean it couldn't work if Dodge applies the same strategy as on the Charger – EV and ICE-powered Hurricane alternatives for liberty of choice.

Secondly, inspired by the little Hornet and based on the same underpinnings as another corporate sibling, the Citroen C3 Aircross, the CGI expert also decided to revive the Journey crossover SUV as a "versatile and stylish SUV while maintaining its adventurous spirit" – and it also has a capacity of seven persons plus certain traits taken from the new Opel Frontera, so this "proposal promises to conquer new horizons." Last but not least, the Chrysler Pacifica also gets back its Dodge Grand Caravan MPV sibling with a modern twist inspired by the new Peugeot e-5008.
