First introduced at the Geneva Motor Show together with a similar version of the Megane, the second run of the Renault Laguna Coupe Monaco GP special edition is now available for order in France. The French carmaker took the decision to make a second version of the car after all 400 of the first version quickly sold out.
The Laguna Coupe is also probably the best looking car they make, so it’s only natural that this is the prime candidate for any special edition.
Based on the Black Edition model, the Laguna Coupe Monaco GP sports a Pearlescent White bodywork and contrasting black mirror housings and roof, both specially made for this edition. It is also available in all Pearlescent Black paintwork and comes with badging on the sides and the grille, plus black Interlagos 18-inch alloy wheels.
The interior show contrasting Pearlescent White trim on the central console, doors and dashboard and a two-tone fabric upholstery, featuring black and grey accents. Aluminum pedals and gearshifter knob are free, but the optional 4Control chassis that offers four-wheel steering will set you back an extra €2,000.
This new version is only available in France with a choice of diesel engines - a 150HP dCi unit mated to a manual six-speed gearbox and a 175HP unit paired with an automatic gearbox. The base model with the 150 hp engine will set you back €32,200 while the 175HP version retails for €34,500, including VAT.
Options include the comfort pack which provides hands-free card, power folding mirrors for an extra €500. The Bose sound system is offered for €800 and an extra€1,500 gets you black leather upholstery with embroidered Monaco GP signature.
