French manufacturer Renault finally took the wraps off the much anticipated Monaco GP limited edition version of Laguna Coupé at the Cabriolet, Coupe and SUV Show in Paris. The two-door coupe in pearlescent white metallic with black roof will be available to order in early May, with first units to be delivered to Renault dealers in June.
The striking visual appearance is completed by a set of black 18″ ‘Interlagos’ alloy wheels and matching folding door mirrors.
Based on the Coupé GT and powered by the 2.0 dCi 180 FAP engine, the limited edition Monaco GP recalls Renault F1 Team’s most recent wins on the renown race circuit in 2004 and 2006.
The vehicle boasts four-wheel steering, dark grey leather upholstery with Monaco GP logo and gloss white inserts for the dash, centre console and door panels.
The range of features include Bluetooth, BOSE sound system, electric and heated front seats, multi-functional TunePoint (for portable music players), front and rear parking sensors, tire pressure monitor and fully integrated Carminat TomTom satellite navigation.
Safety wise, the vehicle is fitted with ESC, ABS, emergency brake assist with pre-fill function when emergency braking is detected, Isofix child seat anchorage for rear seats and six airbags, including dual-chamber/dual-pressure front thorax/groin airbags with twin side impact sensor.
According to the French carmaker, the Laguna Coupe Monaco GP Limited Edition will be priced from 38,800 euros (£24,995 OTR in the UK). Production for the limited run of just 400 units ends in September.
