Land Rover rolls out a special edition for the Australian market to celebrate the surf culture. The Defender Pacific Blue Edition will be a diesel-only variant, will be available in a shade that copies the color of the Pacific, and will come with various accessories that will make surfers’ lives more enjoyable.
The ultra-exclusive Land Rover Defender Pacific Blue Edition comes with special features that bring into the spotlight the adventurous nature of the model. All of them are specifically designed to make it more practical for surfers and those who would be willing to start off on a road trip along the eastern coastline of Australia anytime, in search of a spot off the beaten track for the perfect wave.

Each of the Defender Pacific Blue Edition examples will come with the D250 Ingenium twin-turbo six-cylinder diesel engine. The 3.0-liter straight-six power unit is mated to an eight-speed auto box, which has to steer 245 horsepower (250 PS) and 420 lb-ft (570 Nm) of torque to both axles.

The vehicle is painted in a Pacific Blue matte finish, inspired by the color of the Pacific Ocean on the East Coast of Australia. There is a contrasting white roof with black roof rails, a sliding panoramic roof, and privacy glass.

The roof matches the white highlights that show up on the radiator grille and door handles. The Defender rides on 18-inch white steel wheels with all-terrain tires that confirm the rugged nature of the vehicle.

The special edition is based on the S trim level, which brings on board white contrasting accents on the steering wheel and door panel. There is also a white powder-coated brushed finish cross beam dashboard.

The driver and front passenger will sit in Ebony 12-way semi-powered heated seats wrapped in grained leather. An upgraded Meridian Sound System is also on board.

The electronic air suspension, the adaptive dynamics and headlamp levelling are also on the menu. Each unit will feature unique badging that reads "One of 15" and a custom Defender-branded surfboard with design cues from the limited-run model.

To simplify the life of surfers, Land Rover brings into the equation a Black Side-mounted gear carrier, fixed steps, an Aqua Sports Carrier, a Portable Rinse System, but also a tow hitch receiver and locking wheel nuts.

The limited-run Defender is on display at the Defender Experience Byron Bay from December 5 to 13. The model will only be available in the 90 body design.

Potential customers can join several experiences and off-road adventures. Those who want to drive the Defender Pacific Blue Edition home can order the vehicle through Australian Defender retailers. Prices start from $129,976 plus on-road costs, and deliveries will commence from May 2024. Only 15 customers will be able to get their hands on this limited-run Defender.
