In the latest episode of Deadmau5’ Youtube show called “Coffee Run,” the famous Canadian DJ finally gets to host Toronto mayor Rob Ford. The two talk freely about football, speed, lifestyle and politics, while driving in the famous Purrari.
The famous electronic music producer, Joel Thomas Zimmerman on his real name, has been trying to host mayor Rob Ford since April, when he invited him through a tweet. Deadmau5 visited Ford’s city hall soon after and it looks like he managed to convince him. The Canadian DJ is driving his Ferrari 458 he specially wrapped with a Nyan Cat image for this year's Gumball 3000. We’re assuming the footage is older, considering Zimmerman just sold his Purrari, the nickname he gave to his exotic sportscar.
Besides the actual idea of having Toronto’s mayor in a Youtube show shot in a Ferrari, which by itself is super cool, you guys probably already heard Ford has controversy written all over his face. In fact, it's looks like they've switched places. For some reason, the Canadian DJ is staunchly anti-drugs, and typically takes nothing stronger than coffee, where as Toronto’s mayor is notorious for having spent time in rehab for crack cocaine problems.
Anyway, the two talk about the city’s problems, about music and football, and of course about cars. Deadmau5 explained how he got his Ferrari 458 wrapped in Nyan Cat, while the mayor talks about his love for Ferraris. The two seemed very relaxed and there’s no shortage of spicy language, but we’re pretty sure you’ll enjoy the show.
