Deadmau5 Sells His Purrari After Winning the 2014 Gumball 3000 in It [Updated]

After winning the Miami to Ibiza 2014 Gumball 3000, Canadian DJ Deadmau5, Joel Thomas Zimmerman on his real name, decided to sell his blue Nyan Cat Ferrari 458 Italia. For some reason, Craiglist, the auction site who was suppose to sell it, removed his listing shortly after he posted the announcement.

We wrote about Zimmerman getting banned from driving on French roads for speeding a week ago, when Gumball 3000 was still running. So we never thought that Deadmau5’s car was actually going to make the first at the finish line. Anyhow, for some reason the Canadian DJ decided he puts his Nyan Cat-branded 2013 Ferrari 458, he calls “Purrari,” on sale. He is asking $380,000 (EUR 280,000) and says a couple of bids were already made.

According to his listing, any extra money besides the price he asked for will go to charity. He is donating the money to Toronto Humane Society, an animal welfare organization.

Besides the supercar, the Canadian DJ has promised he’ll also offer an “iPod full of Nyan Cat songs,” as well as the opportunity to film a “farewell purrari” coffee run video with hime as part of his Youtube series, which have featured artists like Pharell and Zedd.

Even though the announcement can’t be found anymore on the site, for those that actually consider buying the car, rest assure. Deadmau5 has explained today on his Twitter that he’ll set up a new auction shortly after receiving a few bids.

Update: As it turns out, Deadmau5 kept his promise and listed his Purrari on Autotrader.
