Where in the world can a two-seater convertible that aims to look like a sports car be powered by an 87 hp 1.3-liter engine? In Japan of course, where the kei car supermini breed comes with all sorts of classes, including one that offers vehicles like this. We are referring to the Daihatsu Copen here, a vehicle that even though we haven’t driven, has been inside our minds pretty deep.
The Copen is the only open-top key and sadly now it has reached the end of its production. The vehicle has been on the market for around ten years and it seems that its sales no longer justify its existence - the vehicle only managed to convince 2,000 customers last year.
The only good side is the fact that Daihatsu is reportedly preparing a 10-year anniversay edition, which will only be produced in 500 examples.
